Dust and Chipping Extraction from Cutting Systems UK

 

Cutting Systems UK have been selling Dust and Chipping Extractors in one form or another with our ATOM cutting systems for over 25 years focusing on the clean extraction of Felt, Gasket, Rubber Dust and Foam Chippings.  Given this knowledge we can specify the model that would best suit your application as well as supply all the necessary fittings and pipe work. We also regularly design ‘catcher box’ or cavity box tooling for our CNC die cutting systems, that work together with the extraction systems to effectively collect hole centres and slugs from cut parts.

These extraction systems have been designed and fitted to our:

ATOM & Chiesa CNC Die Cutting Presses, together with cutting systems designed and produced complete with cavity boxes for the extraction of pips and slugs on our ‘Through Die’ cutting tools.

Camoga Splitting machines, for the extraction of felt and leather dust from the material splitting process.

ATOM Dieless knife cutting systems, for the extraction of Felt, Gasket and Rubber dust from our Flashcut HD & Flashcut Twins machines using a milling head, also foam chipping’s can be collected in the same way from the knife table.

Dust Extractor Model A2000

The dust extractor Model A 2000 has been designed to solve the problem of dust in the environment produced as a by-product of different manufacturing processes, predominantly in the shoe-manufacturing industry, which may cause any damage to the User’s health.

Thanks to the application of our latest design technology it has been possible to obtain a large amount of air movement and circulation but still within a compact unit saving you production floor space and allowing for easy installation and positioning.

The systems come as standard with a Cloth extraction bag and can be supplied with an additional fire suppression system.

Water Injection System

 

We offer water injection as an option so that in manufacturing processes that involve felt and leather, for example, where the dust can be hot from the cutting or splitting process as it enters the dust collection bag it can create a potential fire hazard. The water injection system does exactly what it says on the tin, it injects water into the dust vapour and collection sack at intervals to keep the dust dampened down and help prevent any fire hazard.

Designed with a standalone full EU safety control system and manufactured in Italy to exceed the toughest regulations, it uses standard and easily sourced control components which Cutting Systems can use to link remote start/ stop operator hand controls as well as connecting an automated machine stop-start system. This determines when, for example, the ATOM knife table vacuum pumps start themselves which signal the start of a cut cycle this will start the water injection as it will be needed. Conversely when the cutting process finishes the water injection stops saving you energy, costs and is environmentally friendly.

Sound Proof Dust Extractor Model A4000

 

The dust extractor Type A4000 has been designed to offer high levels of dust and chipping extraction within an extremely compact body.

It is the ideal solution to solve the dust problem of orthopaedic workshops and leather goods manufacturing areas where space is at a premium.

From the initial design concept the system has been designed to run as silently as possible from the design of the dust collection system through the automatic filtering right to the Sound Proof material that the machine is completely covered in.

This automatic filtering system is able to maintain consistent suction to make the work environment more healthy as the cartridge filters are cleaned via a built in vibration system.

Given the high performance of the Extractor Model A4000 it allows for the extraction of a number of machines from the one, portable system.
